About the opportunity…

As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible to co-ordinate the smooth flow of vehicle maintenance/repair/service work throughout the shop ensuring efficiency and deadlines. Specifically:

  • Regulate flow of vehicle maintenance/repair/service work through department to ensure timely completion
  • Prioritize and dispatch work for the shop
  • Schedule shop work to ensure efficiency
  • Maintain shop capacity, efficiency and productivity
  • Assign work to Technicians based on availability and skill set
  • Monitor vehicle repair progress
  • Review repair orders completed in Technicians to ensure completion of assigned work
  • Ensure warranty time allotments on repair orders are accurate for warranty repairs; prepare and reconcile warranty claims/invoices
  • Communicate completion times and promises with Service Advisors

About you….

Ideal candidates will have a:

  • three (3) proven experience scheduling work in an automotive maintenance facility/dealership
  • sound vehicle mechanical knowledge
  • familiarity with automotive terminology and manufacturer warranties and procedures preferred
  • solid understanding of and proven experience with work flow and planning
  • proficiency working with ERP systems (ie. CDK), and Microsoft Office software (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • strong ability to communicate professionally (verbally and written)
  • ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
  • ability to maintain internal controls
  • strong attention to detail, organized and strategic
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • self-motivated and driven with a passion for excellence in execution
