Kelly Services has partnered with local government in the Niagara region to recruit temporary, casual, administrative/secretarial staff. Flexible Hours: Fulltime, Part time or Casual

Monday – Friday (4 hours or 8 hours/ day)

$16.00/ hour

Location: St Catharine’s, ON

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

Successful candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and typing. The ability to work in a fast-paced always changing environment with strong attention to detail and compassion is essential. Successful candidates will require a clear vulnerable sector police clearance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative duties and general office tasks
  • Greeting students, staff and visitors and providing information or direction over the phone and in person
  • Responsible for morning and afternoon attendance
  • Reviewing and answering emails
  • Data entry and file maintenance
  • Special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, and Outlook
  • Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, organizational skills, both analytical and problem solving, and the ability to work with confidential documents
  • Previous experience interacting with children is a must
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to remain calm in emergency situations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Graduation from Office Administration program an asset
  • Clean Criminal Background Check for the vulnerable sector
  • Reliable Vehicle ( need to be able to travel to multiple locations)
