Job Description
Overview:
Forefront Dermatology is seeking an innovative and driven Team Lead to establish and oversee the Data Analytics group within the Data Team to support our mission of being the skin care specialist of choice in every community we serve. Forefront Dermatology is a rapidly expanding, physician-led, quality-driven single specialty dermatology group practice with over 250 clinics in 26 states.
The Data Analytics group partners with business stakeholders to transform our organization with data, identify business opportunities through analysis, and act as the centralized source of truth for quantitative information and insights. The Team Lead will be responsible for coaching and guiding data analysts, supporting strategic collaboration with stakeholders, and providing guidance on large analytical initiatives.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the overall development and evolution of Data Analytics at Forefront Dermatology – developing new strengths and capabilities to support the Data Team’s goal of delivering results that matter with trusted and scalable data solutions.
You must have a passion for data, a strong understanding of change management, a quality mindset, and above all – a drive to deliver meaningful results. Furthermore, you will lead the team with a proactive consultative approach and have experience in providing actionable business insights that benefit process efficiencies and bottom-line performance. You will share in the ownership of our data platform and will partner with the Data Platform team in the design and implementation of our next-generation data and analytics solutions platform.
In addition to this, you will assume ownership of our current BI, Analytics, and reporting services that are used extensively by all facets of the business. In this role, you will have the opportunity to design and implement solutions to business problems that are unique to Forefront while mentoring a growing team of data analysts.
If you like solving hard problems and developing solutions that are highly scalable, performant, usable, and require minimal long-term sustainment and support, then you may be the pioneer we’re looking for!
Responsibilities:
- To be successful in this role, the individual will champion these ideals:
- Application over Theory – Complex and highly accurate models are great, but if they cannot be properly leveraged by the right employees in a timely fashion, they do not add value to the organization. You focus on what can work for the business.
- Iteration through testing, learning, and feedback – “Done is better than perfect”, but that doesn’t mean future iterations of performance management tools or insight generations cannot improve. You love getting data and tools into the hands of individuals with the plan to gain feedback and then iterate improvements.
- Profitability – Forefront Dermatology is a fast-growing highly successful organization. We want someone focused on bottom-line results over purely academic exercises.
- Growth – Forefront has experienced exceptional growth. You’re passionate about helping us maintain that growth by furthering data analytics capabilities.
- Partnering with others – Our most successful data analytics projects have been co-led by members of Data Analytics and various department leaders. We do not want an individual who feels best stationed behind a keyboard; you are passionate about building relationships and winning together with other leaders.

- Directly manage, coach, and develop Data Analyst direct reports
- Champion the Data Analytics team as the centralized source of truth for all quantitative information at Forefront, as well ensuring all employees have access to the right data at the right time from the right place to make data-driven business decisions
