Systems Engineering, End User Services & Digital Workplace
On behalf of our client, Procom is currently seeking a Systems Engineering, End User Services & Digital Workplace to provide enhanced support of their IT operations, which may include support of Digital Workplace devices, including End-user devices, mobile devices, unified communications, IT infrastructure and network operations, and, issue resolution. You will be expected to demonstrate broad knowledge of desktop and mobile technologies; strong ability to work remotely in a team environment and follow instructions, coordinate technical activities with the customer.
Systems Engineering Role Details:
- Provides support for areas of responsibility for Corporate site IT facilities and IT End User
- Services which may include: support and troubleshooting of Desktop devices, mobile/phone devices, printer devices, Audio/Visual equipment and other related IT devices and services that are deemed part of the Digital Workplace (Remote and inperson).
- Works with Desktop Services, Services Desk and Endpoint Technicians and Leads to obtain status of the overall health of the Digital Workplace environment
- Ensures that end-user environments are effectively maintained and supported
- Consistently maintains departmental SLAs within acceptable levels
- Works with Manager
- The position primarily located in downtown Vancouver Office
- Position may move to remote 2-3 days a week after initial training and probationary period
- Position may be required ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Provide day to day technical support to end users both remote and inperson with a strong focus on customer service excellence
- Understand the objectives and functions of the company, business units and departments serviced by IT
- Troubleshoot hardware and software incidents and issues including mobile devices
- Maintain documentation for SOPs for all processes and procedures related to end user engineering
- Provide operational support using Microsoft technologies, Intune and SCCM with a desire to learn more / expand knowledge
- Design, engineer, and implement solutions that support end user computing
Systems Engineering Mandatory Skills:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in end user engineering and support field
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical qualification in IT or Computer science or demonstrated technology work experience.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with an attention to detail and strongly customer service oriented
- Possess strong IT knowledge and understanding with deep skills in IT operations, customer relationship management and outsourcing vendor relationship management
- Skilled at incident and problem resolution
- Strong understanding of hardware and software issues pertaining to Windows architecture
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, with subordinates, colleagues, clients and customers at all levels
- Must have expertise with Co-Management of devices (SCCM and Intunes)
- Experience with device configuration profiles and device compliance using Intunes
- Experience with SCCM Current Branch and firm understanding of MSFT OS Lifecycle
- Ability to effectively work within projects timelines and constraints
- Strong knowledge with Windows Operating systems
- Experience with OS image deployment and maintenance (SCCM Task sequences)
- Advanced knowledge with application packaging and deployment (Powershell, vbs, scripting)
- ITIL certification and firm understanding of ticketing systems
Systems Engineering Desired Skills:
- Azure Virtual Desktop support experience
