PSW Personal Support Worker

We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide staffing relief to a Retirement Residence in Huntsville, ON.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for providing direct patient care:
• Follows facility policies and procedures
• Reports to facility Charge Nurse
• Aware of MOHLTC standards

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current PSW Certification/Diploma or related education
• Current and Valid BLS and/or SFA & CPR certificate
• Updated Vulnerable Sector Search and TB Test Results
• COVID-19 Proof of Vaccination
• Updated N-95 Mask Fit Certification
• Experience in retirement, long-term care or hospital setting is an asset
• Availability to work various On-Call or scheduled shifts.
• Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and email
• Able to work independently and in a team environment
• Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Works well in a changing environment

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Communicate with Managers regarding client status, service plan, service end dates, and risk
• Provide excellent direct nursing care services
• Maintain accurate client clinical records
• Regular resident health status monitoring and check
