Job Description

We are looking for a pharmacist with strong communication and leadership skills to join our growing dispensary team in Mississauga. You will be responsible for maintaining safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical prescriptions.

You will participate in the day-to-day dispensary operations as well as collaborate with other specialty divisions in our company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed in accordance with provincial regulations, standards of practice and company policies
  • Providing a high level of pharmaceutical care for patients: patient/prescription assessment, patient counselling, injection training
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with patients and health care providers
  • Optimizing dispensary processes
  • Support, coach and co-ordinate activities of pharmacy technician and assistants
  • Other special projects as assigned by management

What you bring to the organization:

  • Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part of the Public Register)
  • Injection Training required
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in retail pharmacy
  • Kroll experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and documentation practices
  • Experience in dispensing of biologics/biosimilars/specialty medications
  • Strong understanding of third-party billing
  • Ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines
  • Maintaining the utmost integrity and having passion towards pharmaceutical operations.
  • Critical thinker who is a creative problem solver
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint) Office Programs

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $44.00-$45.00 per hour
