About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager of the Integrated Scheduling Services team, The Scheduling Standards and Quality Lead is responsible for leading, developing, implementing and co-evaluating the multiple streams within the integrated Scheduling Service: Standardized Scheduling Processes, Training Material Development, Delivery of Training, and Assessment and Analysis of data. This position is responsible for the maintenance of Standardized interpretations and Operating Procedures including Process Maps, Guides and Educational Materials, Process Compliance Reports, and working with Operational leaders, Sustainment advisors, and schedulers to maintain, update and communicate scheduling practices.


The Scheduling Standards and Quality Lead is accountable for daily activities related to the sustainment advisors within the province who support the operational scheduling teams, leaders and employees. This role will not only focus on quality but ensuring the Integrated Scheduling Service provides effective solutions and service to all levels within Nova Scotia Health.


The Scheduling Standards and Quality Lead is integral to building and maintaining relationships with the scheduling operations teams within the zones. This role acts as a subject matter expert related to Standards and Quality, scheduling processes, and variable workplace training. The position will act to support change in a healthcare environment in a way that includes all levels of leadership, staff, and the patients and families we serve.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Admin or a related field required. (i.e. Office Administration, Human Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, etc.)
  • 3-5 years leadership/ management experience
  • 3-5 years staff scheduling experience
  • 3-5 years knowledge and experience in Human Resources (including Collective Agreements)
  • Experience with Workforce Projections an asset
  • Experience with Project Management and or Change Management an Asset
  • Knowledge of the environment, staffing practices and time reporting processes preferred
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Experience with scheduling and Human Resources software
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking, synthesize information, problem solve and utilize good judgment in decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality; recognize sensitive issues and respond appropriately.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Knowledge of adult education and learning principles
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Internet Explorer, Outlook and human resources information systems.

Hours

  • Permanent Full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
  • Travel to various sites may be required

Compensation and Incentives

$34.07 - $42.59 Hourly
