About this position: this employment opportunity is for a position in our Americas Sales Team located in our Laval, Quebec head office which is responsible for sales activities covering the USA, Canada, Mexico and other countries in the Americas region. Under this role, you will report to the Head of Sales.

As a Technical Sales Representative (TSR) you will work with customers, prospects and industry business partners to promote and grow sales in your assigned region. Assisting the Outside Sales Team, it is your job to assess customer needs, help them solve problems, and ultimately sell them our company’s products and services. Following a defined sales process, you will be a key point of contact for customers to develop long-term and lucrative business relationships. What makes this position unique from other sales roles is that it requires more specialized, or technical, knowledge of the products and solutions we sell.

Your Mission

· Contribute to increasing our sales opportunity pipeline and play a key role in converting those opportunities to revenue, allowing the Sales Team to meet and exceed its revenue targets.

· Develop strong relationships with customers and tech partners, promoting customer loyalty and recurring revenue.

Responsibilities

· Drive new customer acquisition by seeking and contacting potential prospects, focused on attaining lists of potential customers through partner referral, online database searches and other means needed to find and target potential leads in the region;

· Provide sales assistance to the Outside Sales Team in managing the relationship with key customers to enhance customer satisfaction by proactively communicating with these customer accounts in person, by email, online, and via telephone;

· Provide quick and efficient responses to customer requests related to requests for quotes (RFQ), product information enquiries, customer orders and technical assistance.

· Work in conjunction with various internal departments, including Customer Service, Technical Support, Marketing, and Product Management, acting as the bridge between our Outside Sales Team and internal departments;

· Participate in on-site customer meetings, conference calls and webinars, assisting outside sales managers with the sales pitch and product demonstrations or training;

· Manage technical sales activities concerning our network of tech partners, including Eagle Eye Networks, Genetec and Milestone, actively promoting our products and solutions through activities such as webinars and product training.

Day-to-Day Tasks

Similar to other sales roles, your job is to be a key point of contact for all your customers, support them as needed, and be available to help them with sales inquiries, while building a long-term partnership with them. While your day-to-day duties will vary based on our needs, here are some of the responsibilities you can expect to be included:

· identifying prospects and attracting new business

· sales calls, product demonstrations and client meetings

· providing pre-and post-sales support

· processing sales orders

· negotiating contracts

· renewing existing customers

· ensuring sales quotas are met

· work with IONODES marketing and sales teams to produce technical sales documentation and sales materials (for example, YouTube feature videos)

Qualifications

· Possess demonstrable skills in customer-centric sales and a proven track record in driving revenue;

· Ability to successfully pitch a product or solution to a non-technical audience;

· A self-starting, can-do, go-get attitude.

· Be a TEAM player;

· Fluent in English as the primary language;

· No specific degree or diploma required, we will evaluate attitude, skills and track record;

· Knowledge of CRM and productivity platforms: Salesforce, Office Suite, MS Teams, GoToMeeting, etc.;

Additional Qualifications

· Having worked in Sales in a related field, such as IT, networking, security or surveillance;

· Previously worked with system integrators, distribution channels or technology partners in our market; such as Anixter, Genetec, Milestone, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Siemens, ENGIE, etc.
