Job Description

Primary Job Purpose

The Quality Control (QC) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing projects in Calgary to ensure that quality is being maintained to meet or exceed Divine’s standards. The QC will also be responsible for competing small repairs on installations throughout the city. In addition to providing excellent service to our customers, the Field Supervisor will look after training, including new hires as well as ongoing training.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections pre/post installation. Organize return trips for installers as necessary.
  • Addressing and resolving site issues with Site Supervisors.
  • Quality control checks on Service Technicians and Installation Crews.
  • Back charge Installers for any poor-quality installation.
  • Coordinate Installers workload as necessary.
  • Delivering materials to site as necessary and ensuring the material is added to the Company’s operating system. Reporting to the Estimating Team if there are discrepancies with job files.
  • Ensure that jobs are being completed in a timely manner.
  • Provide training on products, installations and Company policies/procedures to new and existing staff and subcontractors.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair flooring products for clients at various job site throughout the city.
  • Ensure Multi-family projects have all materials required to complete units on schedule.
  • Provide technical support for Divine staff to help guide them through customer solutions
  • Maintain cleanliness of service vehicles, tools and equipment
  • Complete hazard assessments, vehicle inspections and other safety documentation as outlined in the Company’s safety manual
  • Actively participate in service and site meetings.
  • Obtain customer signatures on completed work orders
  • Upload all paperwork, including but not limited to work orders, hazard assessments and photos to the Company’s operating system.
  • Communicate with the service team in the office as required.


Requirements

Skills Required – Technical

  • Minimum 1 years' experience working in flooring (i.e., installations, quality control)
  • Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role considered an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
  • Basic hand tool experience
  • Basic computer skills


Skills Required – Non Technical

  • Ability to troubleshoot, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and written
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ability to work well individually with little supervision
