Position Summary
Centennial College’s School of Communications, Media, Arts & Design is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach in the college’s award-winning Publishing - Book, Magazine and Electronic program. The Professor of Publishing will work with students to explore publishing strategies, develop materials to meet various marketing challenges and teach multiple subjects within the program, including but not limited to magazine editorial, magazine design and marketing.
The successful incumbent will have experience with both print and digital delivery of content and demonstrate knowledge of the magazine industry in Canada. The Publishing Professor will embrace emerging tools and technologies in publishing and, where relevant, instruct students on these applications. Reporting to the Chair, Communications and Media, the successful candidate will teach and engage Centennial’s unique, enthusiastic and diverse students in the classrooms and computer laboratories at the college’s Story Arts Centre campus in East York.
