Job Description
We are looking for a Project Lead to join our team at Veloce Luxury Homes. We are a high end design/build firm based in Hamilton Ontario, specializing in new construction and large-scale renovations. If you are someone who enjoys problem solving, is passionate about the details, able to work in a team as well as on your own, and has 3-5 years of supervisory experience (preferred), we want to hear from you!
The Position:
The Project Lead will act as a site manager, supervising our skilled team of trades and suppliers. He/She will maintain regular contact with the Project Manager and provide regular status updates. The Lead will also perform skilled carpentry work, ensure compliance with building codes, assign and prioritize tasks, maintain subcontractor relationships and scheduling; complete regular site meetings with various stake-holders; interpret project timelines, plans, specifications, and working drawings of construction jobs; provides feedback daily to build-team ensuring quality standards are met.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have a deep understanding of all aspects residential construction with a skillset and/or knowledge in many types of trades
- Skilled carpenter who is able to perform rough and finish carpentry
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications accurately and ensure accurate construction
- Possess a keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with others on the site
- Ability to work alone when required or to assign tasks to other colleagues and subtrades when appropriate
- Strong problem solving skills
- Accurately perform take-offs and order construction materials as needed
- Own your own tools, vehicle and possess a clean driver’s abstract
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience (preferred)
