Job Description
The hybrid Financial Products Representative is a liaison working on a national level (via phone) between Co-operators Advisors, Financial and Insurance markets to facilitate new business and administer the renewal book of business. You will be responsible for acknowledging opportunities and supporting the Advisors, pertaining to Life and Wealth products. Building upon your strong customer service mindset to establish rapport with business partners to identify needs and provide guidance. You have a positive attitude, taking the initiative along with a passion for continuous learning.
What you’re responsible for:
- Work with Co-operators Advisors to obtain required applications for either new business or renewal business within communicated service standards.
- Prepare renewal notices and product recommendations to Advisors.
- Present product information as required.
- Market Life and Wealth product lines to our Co-operators Advisors both for new business accounts and existing renewal business.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with business partners.
- Maintain working knowledge of computer system and related software required for this position.
- Mentor support staff to advance general education and working knowledge of markets/products in support of Advisors.
- Stay abreast of current industry trends through courses and seminars.

- You possess specialized knowledge of Wealth Management products as well as product offerings of the various markets.
- You have excellent organizational, time management and accountability skills.
- You are detail oriented, have strong analytical, practical problem identification/solving abilities, with sound decision making skills.
- Your strong written and communication skills to allow you to clearly convey messages.
- You are an effective cross-functional team player who shares knowledge to support your peers.
To join our team:
- You have minimum 2 years of experience and knowledge of Life and/or Wealth industry.
- You have completed post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- You hold a Life and Accident & Sickness (LLQP) license.
- You have or willing to obtain a Mutual Funds license.
- You are proficient with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Lotus Notes).
- Potential to earn Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
