We are currently recruiting for Journeyman Pipefitters to work at the Wetaskiwin Wastewater Treatment Plant!

This is a 5 and 2 schedule. Candidates living outside of a certain distance, will be eligible for LOA.

In the role you will be:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements;
• Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machine;
• Select type and size of pipe required;
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools;
• Cement, solder, and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system;
• Vic Roll Grooving NPS 4”-24”Install supports, valves, piping and control systems;
• Test system for leaks using testing equipment;
• Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system;
• Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system;
• Involved in working with power tools and heavy equipment.
• Will consider 3rd or 4th Year Apprentices or JM Plumbers – if they have large bore piping experience

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold a Journeyman Pipefitter Certificate
• CSTS 2020
• OSSA Fall Protection
• Confined Space
• WHMIS 2015
• EWP Training
