Job Description

Craft Beer Importers is Canada’s largest importer of beer. Our portfolio consists of over 60 different Suppliers from all over the world and is represented to varying degrees across Canada. We are looking for someone to join our dynamic team and take control of ongoing and developing projects intended to build our brand and footprint in the craft beer market. This position is based in our Calgary head office.

Responsibilities

  • Social media management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Planning/posting updates, announcements, retail stock highlights. Includes support for representatives in the field.
  • Responding to inquiries, engaging social discussion.
  • Expanding portfolio in other provinces.
  • Completing applications for provincial liquor boards ( LCBO, BCLDB, SLGA etc.). Includes registering new products before applying, liaising with Suppliers for samples and Canadian-compliant labels and determining appropriate product pricing
  • All aspects of managing special projects.
  • Manage budgets and escalate issues as required.
  • Sourcing new and existing suppliers for products to be included in our BeerAdvent® project. Includes negotiating pricing, payment terms, obtaining necessary provincial paperwork and approximating delivery.
  • Researching comparison pricing in relation to Supplier-specific products.
  • Integrating updates for weekly and ad hoc newsletter content.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Have a strong appreciation of craft beer.
  • Proficient in Office 365 (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Proficient in social media platforms and tools (TweetDeck, HootSuite, Buffer).
  • Marketing experience required.
  • Project Management experience required.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership of ideas and tasks; learning, discovering and finding solutions in a timely fashion.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with other disciplines and clients.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, meet quick deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
  • Organized; able to prioritize various tasks and have a flexible approach to projects.
