Your Opportunity
The Network Student is a junior member of a national Network team responsible for implementing and maintaining a common data communications infrastructure. The student will build device configurations for deployment of networking devices, guide the procurement and installation of networking technologies, and provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network related issues. The position will also document and test contingency plans that provide support to internal and external customers.
A Day in the Life
- Assist with system monitoring and maintenance of network devices including but not limited to, routers, switches, firewalls, Wireless access points.
- Respond to hardware and software issues which include the configuration of devices listed above.
- Create and maintain user self-help and orientation documentation.
- Keep accurate recordkeeping for the Network Services team.
- Complete special projects and/or provide relief for Network Services positions and duties.
Your Resume
- Current enrollment in a Network Administration course at a technical college.
- Ability to provide exceptional internal and external customer service in a consistent and professional manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working both independently and in group settings.
- Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, OSPF and BGP.
