Description:
We are looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant who embodies outrageous service and knows how to lead by example. You bring a strong background of customer service and is truly passionate about patient care. The MOA is accountable for delivering excellent specialist care, attention to detail, self-motivated, and high level of communication skills; while working together with the staff to ensure all patient needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Upholding clinic policy and procedures
- A-Player team member and working together to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Quality patient service – checking in patients and ensuring all patients’ needs met
- Office administration duties including updating and filing patient’s medical records, arranging admission and laboratory services, and assisting physician’s tasks and billings
- Scheduling appointments and confirming appointments including all diagnostic testing required
- Checking and responding to telephones, emails, faxes and mail
- Opening and closing shift duties
- Providing optimum quality non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing such as ECGs, Holter monitor set-up, Event monitor set-up, Ambulatory Blood Pressure set-up and scheduling Stress Test technicians
- Other diagnostic testing includes Fibroscan set-up, Overnight Oximetry / Sleepy Study set-up and Spirometry set-up
- Stocking room supplies – ensuring all patient rooms are stock with appropriate supplies
- Sanitization – rooms, front desk and reception waiting areas are sanitized
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education plus 2 years recent experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese
- Experience with Plexia EMR preferred, however we will train provided the right candidate
- This is a planned maternity leave coverage for 1 year. Further discussion may be had at that time for possible continuation
- Familiarity with Google and Microsoft
- Excellent customer service 100% of the time

- Effective communication skills – both verbal and written
- Self-starter, self-motivated individual with strong work ethic
- Team-player and is able to lead and inspire the team
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
