Your Responsibilities:
Record health history from patient
Perform the following ophthalmic testing on patients :
Visual acuity and recording of intra-ocular pressure
Visual field testing, color vision testing, retina imaging
Ensure patient entering exam room with Dr has had all ophthalmic testing completed and drops administered.
Exam room has medication ready for Dr to inject and completes injection log to track pharmacy orders.
Assist the ophthalmologist in other tasks as required.
General medical supply inventory.
Obtaining informed consent for ophthalmic interventions – lasers, injections, etc and preparing patients for these interventions.
Must be available 4 days per week between 7:30am-5:30pm inclusively from Monday-Friday.
No week-ends.
Qualifications :
Experience in eye care preferred
Bilingual
Excellent communication skills
Patient-care oriented
Experience with electronic medical records
Maintaining patient confidentiality and proper record keeping
