THE OPPORTUNITY

Walden Circle, located in Mississauga, Ontario is actively seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our growing team.
Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Manager, the incumbent assists in the implementation of property specific sales and marketing programs to achieve occupancy targets.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in generating sales to potential residents (i.e. conduct tours) and community groups and assist the Marketing Manager in all sales related activities.
  • Provide support for all public relations activities.
  • Perform basic customer and market research and analysis to inform marketing and sales programs.
  • Provide input to the annual marketing and sales plan and related activities.
  • Co-ordinate and organize special events and promotional activities; guide staff involved in these activities.
  • Input data into Salesforce database on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to all appropriate workplace regulations, compliances, legislation and Company policies and procedures.
  • Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the Company dress code.
  • Attend staff meetings and mandatory education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work on a continuous basis with a computer.
  • Walk and stand on a variety of surfaces for at least 3 hours per day.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Travel by personal vehicle to attend community functions as required.
  • Exposure to extreme temperature and variable weather.
  • Alternating weekends.
  • Must be able to provide a police check with vulnerable sector screen upon hire.
  • Must be able to provide a record of immunization for TB test upon hire.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Post-secondary education in business/marketing field is an asset, along with previous sales experience, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Excellent English communication (both oral and written), including presentation skills.
  • Sound knowledge of local community, competitors and media contacts.
  • Computer proficiency including media software, internet resources and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Drivers’ license.
