NOTE: This position is provided in partnership with Canada Summer Jobs. Eligible applicants MUST:
- Be between the ages of 16 and 30 years at the start of their employment at Archway;
- Be a Canadian citizen, immigrant with permanent resident status, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;

Job Summary:
The CSJ Marketing Coordinator assists with a variety of communications and administrative functions to increase the organization’s visibility. The position helps to develop and coordinate Archway promotional materials, collateral, social media, website, newsletters and written material for fundraising activities. This position reports to the Manager of Marketing and Communications and works with the Manager and Program staff to create, develop, and implement marketing and communications initiatives that meet Archway’s strategic goals.
Your Role:
Archway’s Marketing Coordinator with the Marketing and Communications Program contributes by:
- Creating and scheduling social media content on a variety of platforms.
- Keeping Archway’s website up-to-date (using Wordpress), and creating new pages as needed.
- Researching, writing, and editing a variety of communication materials for use in print and online, including brochures, ads, newsletters, and banners.
- Designing social posts and print materials, using Canva or Adobe products.
- Working collaboratively with Program and other Archway staff to develop stories and content for Archway marketing and awareness efforts, and assisting with Program specific communication needs.
- Working with the Manager to achieve communication targets, and to accomplish strategic goals.

Getting an Interview – you will be considered if you have:
- A diploma, degree, minor or certification in communications, marketing, social media, public relations, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education is an asset.
- Experience in marketing or a similar role.
- Experience in a client service role is an asset.
The Job Requires you to have:
- Written and verbal communication skills; and active listening skills – able to communicate effectively and respectfully with people from different backgrounds and experiences.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, online marketing tools, desktop publishing and basic graphic design.
- Knowledge of current methods, materials, techniques, and tools related to marketing communications.
- Video production or editing skills are not required but are an asset.
- Teamwork skills, able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a shared office space and/or opportunity to work remotely, requiring the completion of the work from home health & safety documents.
- Ability to meet with individuals in person, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Must be between 16 to 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period; be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment; have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible participants, including anyone who is temporarily in Canada for studies and who is not a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada. Youth awaiting a refugee status ruling, as well as those who hold a temporary visitor visa, youth visa or work visa are ineligible.
