The Fraud Product group is a department in the Corporate Office. Operating on a North American basis, they work together with business partners, establish and maintain a robust anti-fraud posture across the bank.
Job Description
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Business Application Management, the Business Application Manager within Fraud Product is responsible to Lead and execute initiatives that vary in size and complexity along with supporting transformational and business as usual initiatives from business case to execution and sustainment to business as usual (BAU) and adoption within Enterprise Protect and other Business. The Business Application Manager plays an integral role in supporting the organization’s senior leadership in achieving their objectives.
Accountabilities
The general accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Establish Product owner presence and appropriately guide agile team, Business owners, and other partners to successful product feature completion.
- Collaborate across other delivery teams to provide ongoing pipeline & status updates for initiatives to ensure we achieve desired and end state on time and in budget
- Work closely with, influence and effectively manage relationships with key partners and stakeholders, up to the Executive Level, to successfully delivery & implement initiatives & meet associated business objectives
- Promote TD Agile practices and train project members and/or Business users where applicable
- Collaborate with architects, applications, and systems development teams to ensure database designs and data models support the integration of data/information flow across systems and platforms
- Proactively build and maintain regular detailed reports/dashboards to enhance existing portfolio reporting and identify trends
- Oversee scope of the project and collaboratively adjusts scope when necessary, ensuring adherence to established project change management processes
- Adhere to enterprise project gating and governance controls to ensure that projects meet all the performance, quality and compliance standards and conforms to appropriate methodology
- Apply data modelling and database design standards, everything ranging from naming standards to database performance optimization; implement data strategies; build data flows, personas, user journeys and assisting Business Architecture team to map them to target state capabilities
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required by the business and deliver results by developing and executing on innovative analytical solutions
- Work creatively as an out-of-the-box thinker, with conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Exercise excellent judgment and has personal integrity when handling sensitive/confidential information
Requirements
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of enterprise data governance policies, processes, and data management implementation for SQL database servers.
- Familiarity with Azure offerings and cloud migration initiatives related to data analytics & modeling.
- Thorough knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools
- Experience executing projects using different approaches, like Waterfall, Iterative, or Agile
- Previous experience developing and executing on strategies and delivering superior results in both the short and long term
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; uses strong communication skills to communicate complex issues in easily understandable terms.
- Proven ability to see business processes through the customer and employee lens
- Ability to deal with significant ambiguity and flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities in a fast-paced environment while continuously challenging the status quo
- Strong business acumen, financial acumen and analytical skill set – ability to absorb information on a variety of complex issues (financial and non-financial) and summarize key issues or concerns and identify common themes and trends
- Strong communication (written & verbal) and inter-personal skills to facilitate working with colleagues at all levels of the Organization
- Team player with exceptional relationship management and impact & influence skills
- Natural collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees at all levels of the organization with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of positive influence
- Sound working knowledge of various software applications (e.g. MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
- Experience in any Fraud Management group would be valuable but not essential
- Relevant university degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment and proficient in using JIRA/Confluence.
Nice to Have
- Specific experience as a Product Manager for data and/or analytics-intensive solutions – identifying customer data needs, prioritizing backlog, guiding solution construction and implementation,
- Conceptual understanding of big data approaches and technologies.
- Familiarity with Relational, NoSQL, and Hybrid database management systems.
- Understanding of Data Engineering and Data Science approaches and concepts.
