Glacier Glass is looking for a Lead Hand for one of our installation crews in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will be in command of the jobsite and responsible for completion of the duties given to them by the foreman. These duties include the installation of new PVC windows and doors, sealed units, flat/float glass and other small repair or parts installations. Successful individual will also be responsible to communicate with the foreman on any issues with the project and to provide updates on the projects they are given. Key responsibilities:
- Candidate must be clean & professional looking at all times and wear a provided work place uniform.
- Ensure completion of tasks are performed safely and in a timely manner
- Track material, tool & inventory needs on the provided company cube truck
- Collaborate with the Supervisor and Estimator on execution of projects
- Communicate with the customer on how project is progressing
- Ensure jobsite is kept neat and tidy at all times
- Mentor and support installation helpers that individual is partnered with
- Candidate must have at least four (4) years experience in the window and door industry
- Leadership skills is an essential
- Must have a valid class five (5) driver's license with a clean abstract
- Must have working knowledge of hand and power tools
- Must be able to lift over 50lbs
- Must be comfortable working outside in all conditions
