What is the job about?
Grundfos Canada Inc. is seeking a Key Account Manager to join its Domestic Building Services sales team. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining, building, and developing several key accounts in the domestic building services segment, including but not limited to wholesalers and contractors.
As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for clients in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.



This position is remote, and you can be based anywhere in your area of responsibility.



Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Canada without support.


Your main responsibilities:
As a Key Account Manager, your primary responsibilities are to apply industry expertise with technical and commercial understanding, to develop initiatives and activities that have an impact on Grundfos’ sales in the domestic building services segment.
Key responsibilities:

  • Grow and maintain Key Accounts within own area of responsibility.
  • Identify and conduct feasibility study of new business with the potential to use Grundfos products and services.
  • Implement tactical sales plans and activities in line with the overall sales plans and strategy and assist in budget preparation for sales and marketing activities.
  • Develop market knowledge to effectively improve commercial activities.
  • Utilize SAP Business Warehouse data for business analysis and forecasting.
  • Provide advice to customers, consultants, dealers and contractors on products and their performance, new products, product modifications, system solutions, applications, terms of sales, service, replacement, spare parts etc.
  • Gather market information on business trends, competitor strategies and activities, and provide recommendation to business managers to counteract competitor strategies.
  • Conduct specialized training on products and application for customers, dealers and sales team.

Your background
We imagine that you have:

  • A degree, diploma or certificate in a technical/engineering field.
  • 5-6 years of relevant sales or account management experience.
  • Technical experience in HVAC, building/domestic systems, plumbing or similar.
  • Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in a large manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of the plans, processes and activities within the industry.
  • Proven ability to influence others.
  • Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable.
  • Class 5 drivers license.
  • Able and willing to travel within the province.
