Summary

As our team and business continues to grow, so do our studio needs. We are looking for a full-time Intermediate Designer to join us immediately!

You will be joining an established team of professional, talented and passionate interior designers. Our team approach is design without ego, with realistic approaches for the best outcome for our clients. You may not have past experience in multi-unit residential interior design (however if you do, fantastic!), but your proven experience using Part 3 of the BC Building Code will get you right up to speed in no time.

This position is full-time and BYU presently has a hybrid work model in place with employees able to balance working partly in-studio and in-home.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a CIDA accredited institution in Interior Design
  • Minimum 4 full time years design working experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD LT, Sketchup and Photoshop
  • Familiarity with BC Building Code/ Vancouver Building Bylaw
  • Functional knowledge of common computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Great writing and speaking skills, and you communicate effectively with others
  • Highly organized and efficient with tasks
  • Gearing up to write the NCIDQ exam

Key Duties

  • Be part of a design team for concept, documentation, and contract administration.
  • Documentation of design by drawing and specification writing.
  • Visual, written, and verbal communication with excellence to clients.
  • Act as a contact point for consultants and clients.
  • Follows office protocol and procedures, and established procedures.
  • Works closely with the Associate for constant team communication.

Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
