Job Description
The MFRC Childcare Centre is looking for a motivated, energetic, passionate Early Childhood Educator II / III to lead one of our Short Term Infant Teams. This is a permanent full-time position. The candidate must have experience working with Infants in an Early Learning and Child Care environment. We are an inclusive, friendly and helpful environment. We provide care to children ranging from 3 months to 12 years of age.
Eligible Candidates
- Have classification (ECE) from the province of Manitoba.
- Possess a clear Criminal Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as well as a clear Child Abuse Registry Check or be willing to get them ASAP
- Possess a Valid First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Supervisory experience would be an asset.
- Have the ability to mentor and guide staff to meet their fullest potential.
- Strong professional work ethic, punctuality
- Have knowledge and understanding of child development
- Openminded with an ability to work with a diverse group of people
- Ability to take initiative as well as take direction
- Dependable, flexible, responsible
- Have organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Have excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Have a warm, nurturing, fun personality
- Have strong understanding of Circle of Security or willingness to obtain training.
- Ability to set healthy boundaries while maintaining a warm and developmentally appropriate relationship with children and families in our care
- Quick learner
- Have the ability to plan and support staff in implementing high quality, inclusive emergent curriculum-based programing for both indoor and outdoors.
- The person must be proficient in Word, Outlook, and internet usage
- The candidate will need to consider the needs of the children and families within the program and promote and foster the goals and philosophy of the MFRC Childcare Centre
