Job Description
We are currently recruiting Personal Support Workers to support our male client with muscular dystrophy and all activities of daily living. #UN2023
Please note, we are accepting applications of those candidates only that are currently residents of British Columbia.
Location:
- Pemberton (Near Pemberton Valley Lodge), Live-in position
Shifts & Hours:
- Live-in 24-hour: 1 to 3 days available from Wednesday to Friday
- Shifts are flexible for right candidate
- Room and board included while on shift
Compensation:
- $300 to $350 per 24-hour shift depending on experience
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Assistance with personal care including suctioning, ventilator care, tracheostomy care, catheter and bowel care, pressure sore/wound care, bathing, grooming, oral care
- Feeding and medication administration via feeding tube
- Assist client with transfers using ceiling lift system
- Assist client with other daily activities
Required Qualifications:
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with cats
- Must be fully vaccinated
- Willingness to learn
- Caregiving experience an asset but not required
- Good in communication skills and have a positive outlook
