Job Description:
We are looking for a Summer Student to join our Group Retirement Services (GRS) Operations team. If you are passionate about continuous improvement, excited to help solve business problems and motivated to champion Best Practices, we want to hear from you!
As a Summer Student, you will partner up with our Senior Business Consultant, supporting our GRS Implementation Project Management team, dedicated to helping our clients across the country and in various industries. You will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver exceptional client experience through our processes and best practices. You are critical to the success of our GRS Operations, which includes our Client Data Solutions, Plan Set Up, Digital Enrolment and Education/Communication teams.
To be successful in this role, you will need a strong attention to detail, ability to work on a variety of different initiatives with varying timelines and a results-oriented mindset. You are a leader who takes charge in a fast-paced environment, even when you do not have all the answers. You have a passion for continuous improvement, compliance and project management. You are a collaborative team-player who maintains a positive relationship with your team and business partners.
What will you do?
To own the continuous improvement process, help with process updates, organize and conduct the meetings, prioritize continuous improvement idea submissions and facilitate discussions.
Proven problem-solving skills, with an ability to resolve issues and concerns quickly and effectively.
Conduct peer-review consultations with the Implementation Project Managers, to ensure an error-free work.
Ability to independently manage and prioritize initiatives with varying complexities.
Meticulous attention to detail when conducting and supporting the internal Quality Assurance audits.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across teams. This includes being comfortable communicating with all stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills. This includes collaboration skills, being comfortable asking questions and speaking up, active listening skills and writing.
Excellent organization, planning and time management skills.
Knowledge of various presentation and collaboration tools (PowerPoint, MS Excel and Word).
What do you need to succeed?
Working towards an Undergraduate Degree in Business related fields, or a College Diploma.
Bilingualism (French, English) required for Quebec only - interactions with English-speaking customers or partners.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
