Duties and Responsibilities
Advises on immigration related matters, for multiple jurisdictions including: Visas, Work Permits, PR, H1B, and B1, and engages with immigration counsel as required. Analyses immigration cases, advises on the best immigration route, collecting documents, verifying and completing the immigration applications, follow-up with the immigration authorities and completing the process
Responsible for our E2 Visa and Dual Tax Program
Responsible for maintaining immigration records and document processes
Responsible for our global mobility program which includes our relocation policy and involved in all ex pat assignments as well as managing our external relocation provider
Continually monitors and evaluates immigration and mobility programs, leading continuous improvements through STEMCELL's growth
Collaborates with our Centres of Expertise to ensure our documentation, Workday and processes are in alignment as well as providing training sessions on immigration matters for key stakeholders.
Knowledge and Qualifications
Requires 10+ years’ experience providing Canadian immigration advice and direct experience working with employees. Minimum of one year experience in the international relocation field.
Experience in program development, implementation and evaluation.
Experience in an intercultural environment either by working or living internationally.
