CORE FRENCH TEACHER
West Vancouver Secondary School
Fulltime (1.0 FTE) term position
September 5, 2023 – June 30, 2024
Required Qualifications and Experience
A full-time French 9-12 position including IB French is available at West Vancouver Secondary School. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching French
IB certification considered an asset
Post-secondary coursework and/or ELL instructional certification considered an asset
Knowledgeable in the use of Proficiency Scales for assessment
Knowledge of the Ministry of Education Core Competencies, Big Ideas, and Learning Standards for the appropriate curricular area
Hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate
Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology with the curriculum.
An ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies that can accommodate the learning needs of all types of learners.
A proven ability to develop a positive learning environment in the classroom and evidence of strong organization and classroom management skills.
A commitment to and successful experience working collaboratively in a team setting.
