They provide restoration services to insurance, commercial and residential clients including; emergency response, water damage mitigation, fire and contents cleaning, mold remediation, complete reconstruction and much more, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Position Title: Director of Finance
Location: Ontario, Canada (Remote)
Reporting To: CEO
Role Summary:
The Director of Finance is responsible for all aspects of accounting, finance and auditing departments. You will have a proven track record of creating blueprints and reaching financial goals of your previous companies. You are a big-picture thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and execute plans to position the company as a world class organization committed to our core values. Responsibilities:
- Drive the company's financial planning by analyzing its performance and risks
- Perform risk management by analyzing the organization’s liabilities and investments
- Maintain budgets and forecasts by performing financial modelling and analysis
- Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management in an accurate and timely basis
- Develops and implements accounting practices, procedures and systems to ensure company financial information is accurately represented
- Prepare monthly summary report for all projects and regular forecasting for upcoming projects
- Manage and lead the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepares monthly cash flow statements and cash balance statements for the organization’s operations
- Work with each division and reviews / monitors the budget against actual revenue and expenditures on an on-going basis
- Supervise all finance personnel (controllers, treasurers etc.)
- Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies and tax functions
- Set targets for and supervise all accounting and Finance team (Controller and Analysts) and determine steps to achieve the targets
- Provide leadership and support to the finance team with strategic business decisions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure cross-functional alignment and effective communication
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial management
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, CPA designation is strongly preferred
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and financial management software (Quickbooks)
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Strong knowledge of financial, budgeting and accounting principles and practices
- Ability to strategize and solve problems, an analytical mind, expert with numbers
- Exemplary leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company success
- Critical thinker and strong problem solver
- Experience in Franchisor environment a plus
Compensation:
$110,000 - $115,000 + bonus opportunity
