Job Description

The Wholesale Payments Product Delivery organization is responsible for scaling and integrating payments platforms across Commercial Banking and the Corporate & Investment Bank, by defining the product strategy, segmenting clients and packing solutions against these segments, determining the end-to-end delivery strategy, managing product launches and enabling the sales teams.

The Payments Product Delivery Associate is an integral product team member and will be responsible for managing the product activities of the full Canadian product suite including Payables, Receivables, and other core Treasury Services including product development, market readiness and product maintenance. This individual will help the team manage senior management reporting and will be responsible for risk management for the group. They will actively contribute to the team success with their ideas on product and process improvement as well as delivery of innovative payment services.

Key responsibilities include internal communications management and delivery, timely and succinct reporting of key initiatives, data analysis, and project management support with the goal of ensuring effective end-to-end execution. Additionally, in this role you'll:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and distribute various Commercial Market Readiness branded publications, reports, readiness summaries, and stand-alone communications
  • Maintain and support tools, communication repositories, and other resources to ensure maximum process efficiency and control
  • Update and maintain Commercial Market Readiness SharePoint site
  • Facilitate the teams' commitment to high quality project delivery (on time, on budget) by upholding rigorous project management discipline and provide analytical support as needed
  • Assist in preparing presentation material to be shared with management and business groups
  • Support coordination with functional partners to deliver improved product efficiency and client experience, while ensuring safety and soundness through close engagement with Compliance and Risk teams
  • Work closely with the finance and business management team to ensure timely access to high-quality business performance metrics. Improve the team's access to business reporting tools for transparency on health of Treasury products. Adapt financial and non-financial reporting to changing senior management objectives and evolving internal and external risks
  • Support product pricing and pipeline strategies
  • Analyze data and deliver analysis and recommendations to assist Commercial Market Readiness leads with readiness strategies and planning as well as deliver executive-level presentations that communicate business relevance of analysis performed
  • Assist in coordinating and facilitating key stakeholder meetings
  • Support senior Product Managers to grow the product P&L and drive new business opportunities. Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Coordinate administrative activities on behalf of the team related to general services (e.g., product documentation, client inquires, support Sales activity and training)

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed a bachelor's degree in Business/Math/Economics.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in the banking sector, experience in Treasury Services Banking preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project Management and Treasury Management industry experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Strong skills with the following programs:
    • PowerPoint to develop presentations for all levels of management
    • SharePoint development and maintenance skills
    • Excel skills, including pivot tables and advanced functions
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data with attention to detail; able to develop business cases and internal business performance reports using operational and business metrics.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with business stakeholders to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Mature, independent, highly organized, self-motivated and a team player
  • Proven ability as a self-starter, detail-oriented, well organized, strong decision-making skills and able to multi-task effectively
