What You Can Expect From Us

  • At Showbie be 100% yourself. We like it that way. We welcome all team members (and candidates) and celebrate your diverse voice. Regardless of race, gender, orientation, sexual identity, economic class, ability, disability, age, religious belief, or status, we want to meet you!
  • Remote-first forever; considering a big life change? Want to try working from another country? We will work with you to allow you to work from wherever.
  • The autonomy to make decisions and execute them. We’re growing, but we’re a small team. Everything you do makes a difference and your input will always be celebrated.
  • Transparency. You will always be kept up to date on the company strategy through monthly town halls.
  • If you're in the area, we have a beautiful comfy office located in central downtown Edmonton (close to great restaurants, cafes, and public transit). Includes weekly SPUD deliveries, a kick-ass espresso machine, ping-pong and foosball, and lots of board games.
  • We offer a flexible work environment. Work from the office, a coffee shop, or from home, or any combination that makes you comfortable. Because sometimes you do your best work in your slippers.
  • We value work-life balance. When we're at work we're excited and focused on building a great product. We also know that going “home” (or simply closing your laptop) and not working weekends or Holidays makes us even more excited to come to work and do great things.
  • While we take government holidays off, if they aren't ones that align with your personal or cultural beliefs, we have a swapping program that ensures you get the days that work best for you.
  • Casual afternoon socials, monthly team events, hackathons, awesome Holiday parties, and a team that actually likes to hang out with one another.
  • Extended health benefits (including eye care, massages, physiotherapy, and mental health supports) and a Health and Wellness Spending Account.
  • Minimum three weeks vacation plus a week of flex time and time off during December Holidays.

Check out our Work at Showbie page to learn a little bit about our company culture and the benefits we offer to our team. We pride ourselves on a company culture that values the whole you. We like to have fun as much as we like to work.

This role is based in: Canada with the option to work 100% remotely.

The proposed salary range for this role is: $65,000-$80,000 CAD

Please note, we will only contact successful applicants about progressing through our interview process. In full transparency, our interview steps typically look a bit like the following:

  • Step 1: Phone chat: 30ish minutes with either a team lead or someone from our People team to ensure qualifications and alignment of expectations.
  • Step 2: A little bit of homework - this is a take-home assignment so take your time and don’t sweat about us looking over your shoulder while you complete it. We want to get a sense of how you think and solve problems.
  • Step 3: “Panel” interview - have a conversation with the people whose team you might be working with. They want to discuss your homework and get to know you more. Team connection is super important to us because ultimately, you will work with these people every day.
  • Step 4: Values chat - you’ll meet with our VP People Operations or another senior manager to ensure it’s a fit on both sides. We get it, sometimes in an interview you don’t get to ask all the burning questions - now is your chance!
  • Step 5: References and possible background check - we will always ask permission and give you more details about this step after our Values chat.
  • Step 6: It’s offer time!

  • This process is subject to changes but we will always ensure you know what to expect and when you can expect it - we want you to feel comfortable through this process.

**Don't meet all the expectations, or experience requirements listed here? Please apply anyways!

***If you need any accommodations during the interview process (whether it be tools, time, or accessibility requests - please don’t hesitate to let us know!)
