GD Energy Products is looking for a Customer Service Technician to work in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager; this role manages order entry, screening international customers and working international backlog, international shipping. Will be responsible for pro-actively following up with backorders.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Enter customer quotes sales orders and maintain backlog within SAP.
  • Responds to customer questions on order status, discrepancies in billing or delivery, and recommends or determines appropriate corrective action.
  • Responsible to maintain strict discipline while operating in SAP
  • Service international sales team and international customers.
  • Works with multiple departments to ensure world class customer service.
  • Updates and enters quotes, orders, etc. in system. May investigate or identify part availability, production delays, or transportation delays or other potential complications to an order and communicates this information to international sales team and customers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills including active listening.
  • SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience required.
  • Must have a positive and team first attitude.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond expectations.
  • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with minimum 4 years Customer Service experience or;
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of Customer Service experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
