Faculty/Department Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance Unit Media, Art, and Performance-Other Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary
Successful candidates will actively engage students in lectures, leading group discussions and giving assignments exploring key contemporary topics in media and communication such as: theories of media and communication, technology as social practice, digital and interactive media, online media, surveillance, feminist media, race and media, and decolonialism and media.
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a MA, PhD, equivalent degree in an area related to creative technologies, media arts, critical theory, communications theory, Interdisciplinary Studies or related fields. Candidates should show evidence of awareness of key issues/critical theory in media and communication studies as related to creative technologies. Experience teaching at the University level in the subject area is required. Experience managing classroom technologies for teaching. Must provide a sample syllabus relevant to the course description.
