Job Description

The Company manufactures air handling units for the North American market, and is seeking a CNC Laser Operator, with an expected start date of May 8th, 2023.

The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The incumbent will also be cross-training for Foam Injection, Shear, and Brake Press.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read and understand blueprints and assembly drawings
• Develop a basic knowledge of commercial and industrial air handler equipment
• Use a variety of measuring instruments including tape measures, squares, and levels
• Use a variety of fabrication equipment (shear, brake press, notch machine, etc.)
• Assemble air handler equipment base frames, wall panels, cabinet, and internal components
• Maintain shop and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized manner
• Work efficiently, effectively, and safely
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education:

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Experience working on air handler equipment an asset
• Experience in operating a CNC laser machine vital to success
• Knowledge of fabrication equipment (shear, brake press, cut to length line, notch machine, etc.)
• Experience with sheet metal and metal fabrication processes
• Physically capable; able to lift heavy parts (50lbs), stand for extended periods of time, and twist, bend and reach unrestricted
• Ability to work in a team or group environment and independently with minimal instruction
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills
• Ability to work under pressure and short deadlines

Salary: $27.00-$30.00 per hour
