Change Specialist
On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Change Specialist
for a 12 month contract in Vancouver.
You will be working with an existing change and engagement team to build and expand on their existing strategy. You need to be a self-starter, quick to learn and build trust. As a trusted advisor this role will provide a blend of support from leadership coaching, strategy, and hands on implementation. It is an exciting environment to work in but the pace is fast, and with a focus on delivery (or progress) over perfection. Given the size and the scope of this transformation, the initiatives you will be working on are very varied and span across people, process, and technology.
Change Specialist Job Details
- Identify, secure and protect historical business data as required by Records Management.
- Define and deliver legacy system processes and/or data access as required for business continuity.
- Identify and sunset any legacy system related software, hardware or contracts.
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Ten years experience within the IT business analysis and application management disciplines. Certification in any of these would be beneficial.
- Five years application management / solution delivery experience ideally with ERP type implementations.
- Two to three years experience in data analysis and data transformation.
- Two to three years solution delivery using Agile methodology, tools and techniques.
- Business Analyst qualifications or proven business insight and ability to build strong business relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor.
- Great communication skills at all levels of the organization – able to propagate information promptly, clearly, and unambiguously and ability to develop positive relationships with business representatives.
- Taking direction from key collaborators and Decommissioning Practice Lead, coordinate and facilitate the efforts towards the development of an effective Decommissioning Framework / Practice.
- Build strong business relationships by working closely with business unit leaders and representatives.
- Standard business analysis responsibilities as they relate to any solution delivery, including but not limited to:
- Requirements definition, Workshop Facilitation, JAD Sessions, Using Agile, the definition of Epics, Features and User Stories, Business process mapping, improvement and data requirements definition, Development of test plans, test cases and the execution of test plans, and Organizational readiness
- Engage in the building of the business engagement framework and adoption of business analysis best practices.
- Manage and maintain Decommissioning products delivered by the Practice.
- Participate developing metrics and measures to improve application management and solution delivery.
- Liaise with other key transformation initiatives including RBS.
- Bringing transparency to Business and IT organization about development and grow trust.
- Identify trade-offs between short and long terms benefits to drive shared vision between and across the team and key collaborators.
- Achieve key achievements, on time, on quality, and within scope.
- Engage collaborators by raising impediments, validating risk, and communicating status and performance metrics.
Change Specialist Mandatory Skills
- Experience in application, data, infrastructure decommissioning, or data and information governance.
- Application experience with legacy technologies and systems: ERP systems (especially JD Edwards), Financial systems, Asset management systems, Maintenance management systems.
- Industry experience: Mining or mechanical asset intensive industry.
- Degree or diploma in either business or information systems would be beneficial.
- Formal Scrum or Agile training (e.g. SAFe® Scrum Master (or Advanced Scrum Master), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CPS), Professional Scrum Master (PSM1 or PSM2) or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC)).
- Experienced in working with geographically dispersed collaborators and development teams.
- Knowledge and awareness of Cloud (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) as well as a solid understanding of DevOps (preferably MS Azure).
