In this role you will be accountable for aligning procurement strategies with the broader BC Procurement Strategy, and furthering the government’s goal of enhancing economic, social and environmental benefits for British Columbians.
You will be leading the development and ensuring the success of partnerships across senior levels of government, other levels of government, the broader public sector as well as the private sector, on high value, complex procurement projects.

Reporting to the Executive Director Procurement Services, the Senior Director is accountable for ensuring procurement strategies are aligned with, and further the goals of the broader BC Procurement Strategy to support enhanced economic, social and environmental benefits for British Columbians. The Senior Director, provides strategic advice to senior leadership regarding new/emerging technologies and procurement trends as well as opportunities for strategic sourcing initiatives, assessing risk and making formal recommendations to executive staff and cross-government decision bodies.
The Senior Director leads a team of procurement specialists engaged in advising and assisting BC Government Ministry and broader public sector clients in the design, development and execution of complex, high value procurement activities for a wide variety of goods and services, including alternate service delivery/outsourcing arrangements. The department operates on a cost-recovery model, with revenue generated from professional consulting fees charged to clients.
