What will your typical day look like?


In our Background & Conflict Check team, you will perform “Know Your Client” and conflict check procedures as part of our due diligence on client engagement acceptance and continuance. You will analyze and summarize your “Know Your Client” research findings and identify high risk indicators for consideration of our firm’s reputational risk in association with these clients. You will also perform conflict assessments for proposed engagements, facilitate conflict clearance procedures and advise client service teams on how to manage potential conflicts.


About the team


Deloitte's National Risk & Independence Group is seeking a Risk Management co-op/intern. This role will be a part of the team responsible for continuous monitoring and process improvement to improve compliance with firm policies. You will be a part of a team that is responsible for assessing compliance with the Regulatory Rules and Firm Independence Policies.

You are someone who is/has:
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary program such as business, commerce, analytics or has completed risk management courses
  • Strong business acumen with solid analytical skills and conceptual thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on relative importance and urgency
  • Ability to follow work programs with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Commitment to quality, ethics and confidentiality
  • Bilingualism is an asset (French)
