We're looking for you to join our team as an Accounting Technician in Mount Royal, QC!


As the Technician, you'll be directly supporting the growth of our organization by assisting your team and clients in their bookkeeping for both personal and corporately held investments. Using your exceptional organizational skills and creativity, we will enable you to effectively manage the bookkeeping of a variety of clients, including providing clients with excellent support service.


More of what you'll be doing includes:


  • Record daily business transactions such as cash receipts and disbursements
  • Keep track of accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Manage the reconciliation of bank accounts
  • Prepare GST-QST reports, as required
  • Assist in the preparation of T1, T3, T4-RL1 and T5
  • Prepare interim and annual financial statements
  • Maintain amortization plans for tangible capital assets
  • Collect, analyze and summarize account information for investment reporting purposes
  • Oversight of short-term liquidities
  • Reviewing inter-company transactions to ensure accuracy
  • Collaborating with third parties such as wealth managers, bankers, and other investment professionals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
  • Strong oral/written communication skills
  • Post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in Accounting or Business, OR equivalent work experience
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Familiar with the accounting cycle and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Experience with payroll, data entry, GSH/HST filings, and accounting investments
  • Strong skills using technology and software, including TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Excellent client service skills and ability to communicate effectively to understand your clients business and build strong, authentic client relationships
