Executive Account Manager - Sales (Job Number: 2301690 )
Position Summary:
The EAM is responsible for growing the customer base through the selling of new business to diverse customers to help fulfill their transportation and financial needs. You will also sell renewal business and handle account management with existing customers. This position is responsible for exceeding monthly revenue quotas through ongoing customer development and prospecting activities, consistent proposal generation and active management of a sales pipeline. A competitive salary, bi-weekly commission payment, company vehicle and expense reimbursement are provided. This person reports to the VP, Sales and interacts regularly with the PTL SVP Operations and AVP operations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a strategic sales plan
- Provide regular reporting on strategic accounts and new business updates
- Manage territory alignment, quota development
- Constantly maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape
- Manage and communicate corporate sales initiatives
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Manage customer relationships focusing on growth and retention
- Meet/exceed annual sales quota requirements
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
- At least 6-8 years of sales and sales management experience required, with service and transportation industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or related area required
- Knowledge of Penske products and pricing required
- Knowledge of Penske processes required
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently, deal with people, detail orientation, prioritization skills, and organizational skills are required
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
